Sleep cycle set up

Hi Doc, Recently I have switched on to day shift from 3 years of night shift work routine. I am facing issue in adjustment to day shift and in adjustment in sleep cycle along with my meal plan for the day. I get hungry early morning around 5. I sleep around 12 as my cycle is still not set up. Please suggest me what to do to adjust back in day shift. Also suggest melatonin.
