Vitiligo is a difficult skin disease when it becomes widespread. An understanding to the cause should be made. The treatment essentially comprises of arresting the spread and then filling the colour to the areas where it is lost. Typical treatment duration is a year or so. Few areas may not re-pigment and are stubborn. They have to be dealt surgically then.
