Skin psoriasis infection

I am suffering from itching problem from last couple of years. Itching is mostly occuring in lower abdomin area and also in some portion of  left thigh. I have consulted couple of times  skin specialist and when I take the medicine it gets cured but after some time again the same itching problem starts. Now my skin has become dry. Can you pls suggest what is the  cause of this problem and also Will it be permanently cured. Thanks in advance for ur advice!!
