My mom recently had been diagnosed with Herpes ..
Her affected areas are belly, back side of waist .. and a little bit on thigh ..
No rashes near genital area
My concern is, can be a carrier of herpes?
Or will it affect someone with whom I get physical with?
Or will I be affected with Herpes
according to history, it looks like that your mom had herpes zoster which is a reactivation of chickenpox which is a common infection during childhood and everyone infected carries antibodies for it. you should not be worried about it being transmitted to anyone else. however, if you are concerned about the other herpes ( herpes genitalis) which is contagious, you can get the testing done for the carrier and recent infection status.
