I am completely fine throughout the day but whenever I lie down I feel like something is going on in my throat and sometimes I feel cough sensation in my throat. How can I fix this at home. What are the preventive measures that I should take and how can I lead a normal life.

This is probably gastro esophageal reflex disease. With cough due to esophagolaryngeal reflux. Needed additional information on Height, weight, anxiety yes/ no, medication history, alcohol/ smoking uses.
Next Steps
1) ugi scopy to rule out hiatus hernia/ reflux esophagitis 2) 24 hr impedance monitoring 3) med gastro enterology consultant 4) based on report shall proceed
