I wish to know is it fine if my 3.5 month old baby takes a side position and sleeps that way for few hours or should I make him sleep on his back only

it's fine. make sure he sleeps on both sides as head shape is moldable till 2 yrs of age. make him lie on his back most of the times.

Side sleeping is fine but make sure that baby is not going in to prone position from side position.Keep changing the position of baby so as to prevent developmemt abnormal skull shape.

Side sleeping is okay but make sure he doesn't roll over for the risk of SIDS. Yes it fits help in head shaking but both sides need to be prescribed.
