Dear Sir, my mother (age 49) is on Azathropine 50 mg tablet for 2 years for her lung contraction issues. for the last 1 month she is constantly having diarrhea 2-3 times a day. Did all sorts of medication and injection but no relief is there. what should i do??

Hello dear patient, this is a anti metabolite, it act by suppressing immune system, so it predispose the patient to infections, most likely to opportunistic infections... I suspect your diarrhea to be associated with either some opportunistic infection or due to some damage to gastro intestinal system due to chronic use of this... I advise you to consult with me...
