Should I take HIV test?

A year back, I had sex with a prostitute. A condom was ripped, and although my penis didn't go completely inside her, it at least touched her vegina. I asked her she told there is nothing to worry. Now I am worry whether she had HIV or not , and if at all she had it, then whether it got transmitted to me. Should I get some kind of HIV test ?
