Shortness of breath

As per the advice of one Doctor, I would like to consult a Pulmonologist to discuss my shortness of breath problem. Please find my PFT reports attached History ---------- I had a feeling like shortness of breath, light weightness in my head, feeling tensed, something is going to happen to me like heart attack and I am going to die. I did a heart checkup (TMT, ECHO, ECG) last year April-May and they told everything is fine with me (Lisie heart speciality hospital, Ernakulam Kerala). Took chest x-ray as well and no problem. After a period of time again I started to have the same feeling. I went for a Executive healthcheck-up during Nov. last year at Aster Medcity, Ernakulam Kerala. The results also the same. I don't have any problems. But still sometimes I feel like tensed and going to have heart attack and die, shortness of breath etc. I request your advice on this. - Girish

Hi. I understand your concern s. Not able to see any reports. Would suggest you to get a holter and then also consult a psychiatrist as it could be panic c attacks.

I am sorry I cannot see your PFT report. However if all the reports are fine, you need to rule out anxiety and panic attacks.

It possibly could be arrhythmia (abnormal rhythym which can be short lastin) episodes that only a holder test can pick up. Or it is like severe anxiety or panic attacks. The best thing is to approach a cardiologist and ask them for an extended 3 or 5 day Holter. Meanwhile also approach a psychiatrist for possible anxiety.
