Severe joint pain for long time

My mother is having, severe joint pain for last 2-3 months and situation has become so bad that she has become bed ridden for last 1 month or so. Which type of Specialist should I visit for her treatment? Any suggestion would be really helpful. Thank you.

You can consult an Orthopedic surgeon or Rheumatologist either of them have to check clinically and do some necessary blood tests and x rays before come to a diagnosis

Hi. Rheumatologists are joint and Autoimmune disease specialist that deal with the medical management of arthritis. These are doctors who are MBBS, MD Medicine and then have done an additional specialization (DM or DNB) for management of arthritis.
