Hello as age progress and if bed ridden more chances of aspiration will be der leading to pneumonia and other lung infections if a ruled tube is inserted and if RT feeding is given then less chance of aspiration and thus lung infection will reduce....consult physician for further evaluation and treatment I hope this helps to solve your problem .
