Self ligating are the best braces available

There's no specific time limits to it. A minimum of 21-30 days is a must. At times it doesn't need tightening for months also. That completely depends on the plan of ur Orthodontist. If ur Orthodontist has mentioned 40 days kindly go ahead accordingly

Self ligation braces are different from other type of braces in the sense that they require fewer adjustments and exert lighter forces. It is advisable to get these tightened at intervals of 4 to 6 weeks. Getting them tightened earlier will result in them exerting excessive forces and thus negating the benefit these offer over the conventional type of braces. Having said that, the increased appointment gaps does not mean slower treatment. It will still finish off earlier than normal

Hello. It’s a wonderful selection of the type of braces. As far as self lighting braces are concerned, a duration of 30-40 days is apt. No need to worry in case it is prolonged due to unavoidable circumstances.
