Segmental rib fractures

After an auto accident my doctor ordered a ct scan of my chest which showed I have rib fractures in the 6th through 10th ribs with ribs 7 thru 9 being segmental fractures. what should. She didn’t seem to concerned so neither was I til I Googled segmental rib fractures and found I have loose pieces of rib wobbling about in there. I’m 75 years old, female, breast cancer 12 years or so ago, good health aside from that. So should I be doing something about this or will those pieces get hooked up?

Rib fractures heal up by themselves, even if they don't not much is done to correct them. What you should do is : 1. Hot water compression. 2. You can wear a rib binder. 3. Medications like Enzomac, Identical and Tendocare will help. 4. Perform chest breathing exercises. Pain will get resolved by 4-6 weeks.
