Seeing floaters in eyes

2020-05-06 15:46:41
I have been seeing a some floaters , like lines and dots in my eyes (both) for a long time. I have consulted an ophthalmologist who told me that there is no particular treatment for this. Since this is causing some kind of irritation while looking at some plane backgrounds and looking at bright surfaces, i would like to know if there is anything i can do to naturally get rid of this or reduce the effect of these floaters. Kindly advise. Thank you in advance.

Floaters usually do not cause any reduction in vision (visual acuity on snellen chart). They affect u as much as You let them affect your day to day life. Mild symptoms can be ignored. If u do any exercise that includes standing against the gravity, please avoid for a few weeks. It usually settles down.
Next Steps
If the problem persists, u need to get a retina periphery examination and a dilated lens examination to rule out any lens opacities.
Health Tips
If u notice any flashes of light, please visit ophthalmologist as soon as possible

Floaters are usually nonpathological.please learn to omit them but get your fundus examination done so as to rule out any retinal problem.

Floaters can be because if many reasons.... Please mention whether you are myopic? Floaters are caused mainly due to posterior vitreous detachment which could be partial. We need to intervene if Many more eye floaters than usual Sudden onset of new floatersl Flashes of light in the same eye as the floaters Peripheral vision loss Normally in mild cases we dont need to intervene
