Does MRI of LS SPINE need fasting? How many hours? What are do's and don'ts? What do I need to keep in mind? Is prior appointment needed?

No fasting needed for MRI lS spine but if it is contrast enhanced MRI then  blood investigations needed. In some centres prior appointment is needed. Usually it is for 45- 60 minutes. If you pain and unable to sleep  then it'll take more time.
