The patient looks like he is talking to himself while he is actually responding to the voices he is hearing. They also have abnormal thoughts and are suspicious and fearful. This is due to a disorder in the brain and can be treated with medications. However long term treatment will be required. It is not due to ear problems and is not caused by excessive use of ear phones.
