Scared of these symptoms.
Hello doctor.
I feel fast heart beats and ectopic beats after meals and I also have panic attacks. I've come my ecg and it shows sinus tachycardia the cardiologist said it's due to anxiety. But the symptoms scare me that im thinking something is wrong with my heart. Done 2decho shoes normal. I'm having anxiety and panic attacks due to these symptoms. I've seen so many young people collapse with cardiac arrest and it makes me more scary.
What can I do?
Palpitation or fast heart beat as you have mentioned is most commonly associated with Thyroid problems like Hyperthyroidism or if Thyroxine treatment dose is high for Hypothyroidism.. Since ur Echo is normal and ECG shows only sinus tachycardia, u need not worry.
Next Steps
Check TSH levels and consult Endocrinologist to adjust the Thyroxine dose. If palpitations is frequent then Tablet. Propranolol 10 mg twice daily can started for 3-4 weeks.
