Scales form on my skin during winters.
During winters, my skin becomes extremely dry and thin brown scales like layer form on my skin particularly on my arms, legs and stomach. They start forming when winter starts in November and they disappear around April. In summers and monsoon I look normal. My brother also has the same problem so it maybe genetic.

The condition is called ichthyosis. It's a group of skin disorders characterised by dry, scaly or thickened skin. Most cases of ichthyosis are inherited, but some types develop in association with genetic syndromes or diseases. Ichthyosis vulgaris is commonly caused by a genetic mutation that's inherited from one or both parents. Use medicated moisturizer s and keep the body well hydrated. Consult a Dermatologist for the same to prevent further progression of the lesions.
