Rusty nail pricked

My child is 8years old..yesterday a rusty nail got inside her feet..there is a deep puncture wound and blood came out..Her pediatrician told not give any vaccine as She was given tatenus shot when she was 4years old ...I m still worries as it's a deep puncture by a rusty nail..pls suggest do I need to give my child tetanus shot..or not? Is there any side effects..pls reply

If your child fully immunised then upto 10 year  no need of td Apply only topical antiseptic cream .

Vaccine not needed. Tetanus is not caused by rust or nails, it's caused by a bacterial infection. Take care of the wound.
