Hand Foot and Mouth disease which is a viral disease is commonly seen in children. The usual period from initial infection to the onset of signs and symptoms (incubation period) is three to six days. The illness spreads by person-to-person contact with an infected person's saliva, nasal secretions, fluid in the blisters, sneeze and cough air droplets etc. It's not that infective in adults as they don't show any signs of illness even if infected. Since you are an expecting mother in 3rd month of pregnancy, better you restrain yourself from your daughter for a week.
