Your baby’s ovarian cyst was noticed before birth, and it’s good news that it has gotten smaller—from 4.4 cm to 3.4 cm.
These types of cysts are common in newborns and often go away on their own. The ultrasound shows it’s a hemorrhagic cyst, means there was a little bleeding inside the cyst, but that also usually settles without treatment.
