Right Ear pain

Whenever I travel to a hilly area from plains, my right ear starts to pain with a feeling of pressure building up inside the ear. I have visited some doctors but they suggested me for an operation to fix the damaged of the ear drum. Its normal when I stay in a place but only when I travel to a hilly place. They also suggested me for a gromet but I am afraid with the surgery. Is there another way to cure my right ear pain?

You seem to be suffering from eustachian tube dysfunction which usually occurs because of environmental pressure changes in hilly areas. Surgery is indicated only of your symptoms are severe. If not you can do pressure equalization exercises during your travel to keep your eustachian tube functioning

Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
