RHD - Antibiotics Therapy

If RHD caught early with mild valve engagement(mild mr , mild tr , mild ar). Can Antibiotics therapy stop the progress of RHD? Or it will progress slowly over time. Or in future need valve repair?

RHD which means rheumatic heart disease and RF rheumatic fever are 2 different entities Diagnosis of RHD means established valvular involvement which cannot be reversed with antibiotics but its complication which is IR infective endocarditis can be prevented !

Continue antibiotics as prescribed, IM penicillin or oral tab penicillin V

Antibiotics in some how may help to prevent heart disease but progression of the disease whole depends on the outr body response to bacteria .. those bacteria resemble our heart valve if body keeps on producing antibodies for the organism it may continue to destroy the valve by antibiotics we can delay the process but we cannot stop
