Fungal infection of the nail takes at least 6 to 8 months to start showing improvement after treatment. I would need more information on what exact treatment have you taken and forgot duration was it taken. However, with due respect to your dermatologist, in my opinion the nail problem that you have is not fungal in nature and it is because of another inflammatory condition. You can get a second opinion from another dermatologist or you can consult online for treatment. However you need to understand that the rate of growth of toe is very slow and regular follow-up will be required because the nail takes more than half a year to start showing response.
