Hi doctors I have small abscess beside my nipple, which is recurring like since two years. I had it four times and I visited multiple doctors and the pus was sent for the culture and it was negative for TB and all of the test but it was positive for strep infection. I used antibiotics also whenever I got this abscess and one of the doctors gave me mupirocin ointment to apply. My doubt is today there was past discharge from the abscess. Can I apply the ointment when it is an open wound and the other thing I want to tell is that I am pregnant right now. Thanks in advance.
