When I was pregnant before 2 years my 3rd month sonography revealed feotus had gastroschiasis. So in the 3rd month abortion of the feotus was done.Now after 2 yrs we are planning to have a baby. What precautions should I take this time? Should I start taking folic acid tablets before a month of conceiving?

Usually, the condition is not inherited, and future pregnancies are not affected. Usually there is not a family history of gastroschisis as well....but its better to have pre pregnancy counseling session with your doctor to know about normal development and precautions in general(not regarding gastroschisis) during pregnancy.
