Regarding pregenency

Hello, My period is regular but this month my bleeding is very less but date is correct & me & my husband had made the contact without any precaution on 3rd day because my bleeding had been over on second day. Can I conceived or I have to take the pills. I have not taken it before because of side affect but don't I want to be pregnant right now because my baby is very small. Please suggest
