Regarding injection dexa

Hello doctors, i had severe gas trouble n gas caused pain on my left back hip n front hip n sometimes radiated above hip too with stomach indigestion...i waited few hrs intensity was increasing...took omez 20 mg too n home remedies doesn't help much...went to nearby hospital...there duty doctor n nurse gv me panta-d injection n injection dexa on drips n emeset in injection...fetal heart rate 147...normal baby movements i felt...cervix too normal...after injection pain started to clear too...i m towards my 36th week by tomorrow...why did they give steroid dexa to my foetus unnecessarily without our permission...will it cause any future issue for my baby in his/her lungs gene...i m worried bcoz no symptoms of preterm labour too...panta d injection safe as it showing as it cause congenital defects in foetus...pls answer i m worried...

They should have not given Dexa unless there is absolute indication. However it wont cause any harm to the baby with single dose rather Steroids help in lung maturity if the baby is preterm. So Need not worry. Take care

Steroids given for lung maturity won’t harm if u are non diabetic though shd have discussed with u rest for indigestion take small frequent meel
