My child have been given Infanrix Hexa vaccine at 6 weeks. This contains acellular pertusis, now some people have told it is less effective. Now what should I do can I switch to whole cell pertusis vaccine at 10,14 weeks and if not can I switch at booster dose. Really confused, please help

Yes whole cell pertussis vaccine is more effective than acellular pertussis. But there is higher chance of fever and pain in the leg with whole cell. You can switch for the next dose. No need for confusion. Both are used worldwide. If the child tolerates whole cell pertussis vaccine, continue with that.
