On the 23rd of February 2024,i got bitten by a dog. After that, immediately, i washed my wound by running water and took tetanus and rabivax s vaccine within 1 hour of the incident.
Every day, i used to clean my wound with slightly warm running water and sodium chloride. The wound is not deep. Only a little skin layer has been damaged.
So, my main question is, can i eat chicken and red meat in this situation as i have taken my first dose out of 5.
Initially, rabies vaccinations products involved chicken embryo, that's why in olden days it was told to avoid meat but these days vaccinations are produced from cell lines (human and primates) so there is no restrictions in meat eating.
Only restrictions are alcohol, drugs, etc.
You can confirm the same with your physician, too.
Vaccines are more sophisticated now so not many dietary restrictions. Some medications may still impair vaccine action. However, consult your physician for further guidance.
