Reappearance of ringworm
I have ring worm around upper abdomen and and at two places on face. Initially I used panderm and with fluconazole 150mg daily. It soon vanished as if but my stomach rampant so left the doses for 5 days. During that period I used aristozyme and sorbiline. The ringworm soon reappeared after 5th day and spread as blisters with skin burning symptoms. I changed fluconazole with terbinafine 250mg tablet daily with terbinafine 1%,cream. It cured but reappeared when doze of fluconazole reduced. What do
You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs, groin and buttocks area. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter Steroid containing creams like fourderm, panderm, quadriderm, hh zole, candid b etc lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application.
