RCT done on 2nd lower molar - pain

RCT was done on my 2nd lower molar but pain aroused after 5-6 weeks due to wrong capping. The cap was removed and pain was relieved. Since then I had no cap on my tooth. It's been 10-11 months. But for last few weeks I can feel pain on an interval of 4-5 days which goes by brushing. Do I need to extract my tooth, which I don't want or a re-RCT can be done. Thanks

relax..neither it needs extraction or refilling....since d tooth was not crowned pain would have come due t dat..take an x-ray t be sure ...and go fr crowning f d tooth if u want greater life of your root canal treated tooth

At first an X Ray must be done to rule out the problem. .if it's due to the RCT or some other issue in the gums. . Only then a decision can be made. . And if at all there is a problem with the RCT, yes re RCT of course can be done. . Extraction should be the last resort. . All the best
