You’re experiencing OCD with health anxiety, specifically a fear of rabies through indirect contact. But rabies does not spread through feces, dried surfaces, or clothes. It requires a fresh bite or saliva exposure to an open wound. The scenarios your mind is creating are extremely unlikely and driven by anxiety, not facts.
Try to resist reassurance-seeking and avoid washing or discarding clothes unnecessarily. This is a fear loop, and CBT with Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) can help break it.
