Rabies infection and regarding doubts.

My friend was bitten my a dog, he got a shot of vaccination. Later the day next i shared food with him in the same plate. Is there any chance i need to get vaccinated too. Its already been 7 days now and now i am worried that i need to take vaccination for rabies, because i have read that it spreads by saliva. Please let me know.
