I need to get a rabbies vaccine as a preventive measure as I will be going for waste collection programs. How many doses are required and what is the cost and how long it stays effective for.

It will effective for 1  year but condition is that after  bite post bite vaccination is  mandatory. In govt hospital it is totally free.
Next Steps
GET vaccinated after post bite also if you already have pre bite vaccination.
