Pulling ear lobe opens ear

I've been experiencing ear blockage and was using clear wax ear drops from past 2 days. Now whenever I pull my earlobe downwards there's a pop sound and I'm able to hear better again. Should I continue the ear drops or use any other method to clear blockage.
