A psychiatrist told me that i have ocd I confirm this consulting with a well known psychiatrist I have posted 100 queries about my disorder on practo just to know or to assure about my disorder Now i am again want to confirm ... Actually a well known psychologist told me that i dont have ocd , i have ocpd .. And he said clinical psychologist knows more than a psychiatrist ... Where to go now to confirm my doubt or concern...

Firstly,Psychiatrist- doctor (MD/DPM , MBBS) Psychologist- MA (clinical psychology) , not a doctor but a mental health professional experienced in testing related to psychology and counselling Secondly, confirming doubts over and over again is part of ocd that has occurred now suddenly and wasnt there before. But for definite diagnosis in-person psychiatrist consultation is required. Ocd is treated with medicines and counselling. Ocpd and ocd can occur together in some individuals.
