Prolonged jaundice
Hi.. Iam suffering from jaundice.. (Hepatits A) I have done with my blood tests.. 30th march, my total bilirubin was 2.4 mg/dl, direct - 0.73, indiect - 1.67.. Liver function tests AST - 15, ALT - 11, SAP - 204,
Again on 3rd may, my total bilirubin was - 2.3 mg/dl, direct - 0.80, indirect - 1.50..
Iam following proper diet with liv -52 syrup but still my results remain constant after a month.. Two days before I felt a severe pain in upper right side of my abdomen for 3 or 4 times then after its ok.. No pain.. No other symptoms.. Iam feeling worried.. Is this dangerous?
You blood reports are not compatible with HAV infection.
Rather it seems to be bilirubin excretion defect of the body..which is usually congenital & lifelong(Gilbert syndrome), if other causes of high indirect bil. level is ruled out.
Gil. Synd. does not requires treatment as it doesn 't harm you..😊..!
What was your previous bil. Levels..?
