What does high level of prolactin mean? My doctor asked me to get thryroid and prolactin test done. While the thyroid level in in range. The prolactin level is quite high. What does that mean.

Prolactin is hormones secreted by pituitary gland and helps in maintaining the lactation.If this level is high patient is not getting proper period and difficulty in getting pregnancy.So you take  the tablet for high prolactin.
