Firstly don't be worried Do some warm saline water gargles  Watch out out for rise in temperature. Contact a near by physician if you develop phlegm, high temperature or breathing difficulties. They will go blood test and maybe chest x-ray to evaluate further For the time being, use cough lonzenges, you can even try Alex cough syrup 1 tsf thrice a day after meals. If throat itchiness persists then take cetirizine 10 mg at night for 3 days. Consume 3 lit water every day, eat seasonal fruits. Can take Vitamin C also to boost immunity.
