Preterm Jaundice 17 day old baby boy
On Day 8 21/05 my baby has TSB level 20mg/dl so he undergone for intensive phototherapy and on Day 10 23/05 his TSB level is 10 while discharge. After we went for review on Day 12 25/05 and his TSB is 11.3mg/dl. Again today Day 17 baby TcB read on device is 12.7mg/dl. Please help me in understanding why this TSB level is increasing in my baby with age. Does he shows any severe levels of TSB? What are the chances? Please share
TCB could increase due to multiple reasons. The reason for raised TCB can be as simple as due to inadequate feeding to some congenital deseases. I'm sure when you baby had undergone phototherapy, they must have done tests to rule out important causes. Would require all reports and detailed history to give any suggestions.
