A positive
pregnancy test alongside two months of heavy bleeding with clots is a combination that needs assessment now rather than an explanation online. It can happen with an early pregnancy that is not continuing, with a pregnancy sitting outside the uterus, with retained tissue from an earlier loss, and less commonly with conditions of the placental tissue. These can look similar from the outside and are told apart by a scan and a blood hCG level, and one of them can bleed internally.
Next Steps
Please go to a gynaecologist or a hospital today for a pelvic ultrasound and a quantitative
beta hCG blood test. Take any previous scan reports and note when the bleeding began.
