Hello, My wife is pregnant and she is b- blood group, which is rare. Does negative blood group affects pregnancy and what what issues are there in this.,? Is negative blood group is a big tension for my child's health?

Negative blood group doesn't affect the 1st babies health but if you are positive blood group your wife will have to take an injection at 28weeks and after delivery... monitor babies growth well... connect with me on consult for further query

Rh negative pregnancy is definitely a high risk pregnancy.. you hv to be careful about certain things.. Antenatal anti D at 28 weeks s necessary. Also few additional blood tests ICT and Rh titres may be needed. Also better to Deliver at a centre with blood bank which has B negative blood.. Post delivery baby s blood group and DCT needs to be done.. and accordingly second anti D needs to be taken as well.. In next pregnancy too care has to be taken..
