Hi, I am 17years old and indulged in sexual activity yesterday evening around 7pm. The guy I was with was not wearing a condom and had pre-ejaculation. However he barely entered the vagina, not even two inches inside, before he pulled out. I last had my period on 21st December 2017 which lasted till 26th December. As a precaution, I consumed an ipill today morning at 11am. My worry is whether it will be enough, since I haven't seen any side effects from the pill yet. What more do I need to do?

As u had sexual intercourse in unsafe period n had taken emergency contraception on safety measure basis that should suffice ur need to a greater extent. Rarely there are failures noted with these drugs . If u have regular menstrual cycles past 6 months just
in case u miss ur period u can have a home based pregnancy kit test done.
As of now no need to take any other medications n this pill shall not offer any protection if u participate in sexual intercourse further in this cycle. As its efficacy comes down

since u r in adolescent age group its advisable for u to follow the barrier method of contraception for safetyfrom not only pregnancy but also other STIs, sexual education must, n inorder as prevention is better than cure if u r not vaccinated against HPV plz consult a gynaecologist n get vaccinated against HPV .
lastly i pill is just an emergency contraception but not safe method all the times .
