I missed my period which was supposed to be 10 days before and the counter top test kit says positive. I am not sure if this is right, because I have had delays prior to this as well. I need to know how to know it for sure and how long should I wait to consult a doctor.

Do a repeat test with preganews ,it is reliable and correct. Also u may get a betahcg blood pregnancy test done to know how many weeks pregnancy u have .
