Hi Now am on my 13th week pregnancy Have done sugar analysis on my 6th week Fasting sugar -105 ( clinical range -70 to 100) Ppbs -90 ( Clinical range -80 to 140) HBa1c -5.3 ( clinical range 4 to 6) But after taking this test..as am a sweet foodie due to food aversion i consume moderate to high sweets and sugar Whether am prone to gestational diabetes Does this affect the baby?..will it be controlled?

I think Madam, it is best for you to restrict your sweet cravings for sometime, at least till you deliver. Since I cannot make sure of your metabolic status both during and after pregnancy, I think it is best to be in the healthiest of lifestyle. Because if gestational diabetes develops, it will definitely put your kid to a wide range of risk factors.

Aş your fasting is at slightly higher of the normal range you need to control your sugar intake. It is going to make a big baby & related complications. So cut down your sugar & enjoy fresh fruits.
