My 11 Months old son has mucus in stool persistent ly. For two days if it is not present then after two days mucus can be shown again in stool.He had loose motion twice and once with blood.His birth weight was 2.3kg and now his weight is 7.4kg. He eats one banana daily. He eats 3times rice with papaya, potato, chayote. He eats one time home made Cerelac with oats, roasted chana, dal. Why is my son having mucus in stool frequently?

He is having blood mucus with stools. His weight is not appropriate for his age. Some changes might be needed in his diet as well. It is better u consult a pediatrician locally. They will also check for nutritional anemia

If mucus is there persistently along with blood /semisolid / “loose stools may have to do a stool Routine ..if you are giving cows milk /packet milk can stop it
