Sir,my sister had a open heart surgery for TOF in 12 year of age. Dr. Pankaj Mankad Sir was treated her at Apollo hospital, Bhubaneswar.Now she is 18 years old and suffering with thyroid disease. Some times her body and legs are paining.Recently tested her at AIIMS, BBSR. Doctor said everything is ok. Sir, I want to know what is the life expectancy after TOF repair? Can she exercise or not?Can she will be a mom with a healthy child?What will be precaution should take for avoid majors in future?

She can have at least good life till 50 60 years, some complication can occur

Your questions are very valid and pertinent. The answer is not straightforward. It depends on her general health and her cardiac condition. Her ecg and echocardiocardiography should be evaluated by a cardiologist. Several patients do well after tof surgery and lead long healthy lives. But as you know each case is different and regularly showing a cardiologist is very prudent.
