Post-Perianal abscess drainage surgery
I had severe anal pain past 1 month and they diagnosed as perianal abscess through CT scan and had a surgery to incision and drainage the abscess.. it’s been 10 days and Iam feeling better slowly . Surgery wound kept open and I had some discharge occasionally. But pain is reduced a lot .
Suddenly after 10 days of betterment , I had a pain and swelling near the surgery wound . Then after some hours there is white pus discharge from the wound site .. is this normal ? Or is it cause of something else to be worried .

If you’re noticing pus discharge from the wound even after 10 days, it’s not considered normal. You should definitely consult your operating surgeon. The wound needs to be examined properly to check for any unopened or newly formed pockets of infection that might need further treatment.

It's normal to have serous discharge. The wound will heal in time. But you should keep a check for any fecal discharge from worlund site or foul smelling discharge. It's better to get it examined when you visit your surgeon

Continue Antibiotics and supplements if given
