Post partum cardiomyopathy

My sister has  delivered yesterday and on her echo it was showing PPCM and ejection fraction is 30% .. Is there anything serious about this ...i wan to know the survival and cure rate for this . Is it reversible? please help me 🙏

Please  take  proper treatment  from  a CARDIOLOGIST.  And keep a regular  follow  up.Do not neglect .. it is reversible  with  proper  treatment  may recur in subsequent  pregnancy  . Please  don't  take  home treatment.

Yes peripartum cardiomyopathy is reversible in some , but not in all. Stop breast feeding. Take proper medication and regular follow up. Chance of recovery is good in 60-70% of people , some may have residual dysfunction. There is chance of recurring is more in next pregnancy . Schould not go for next pregnancy for next 3yrs. After that after consulting doctor and discuss about next pregnaancy and risk.
